Passionate about social change, I co-founded Moonwalkers 1989 Incorporated with my high school classmates in Butuan City, Philippines. Over the past five years, our organization has been dedicated to making a positive impact in our community through various initiatives. From environmental conservation to education and poverty alleviation, our commitment to service drives us to create meaningful change in Butuan City and beyond.
A group of high school classmates reunites with a purpose—to reconnect through meaningful community service. Together, we formed Moonwalkers 1989 Incorporated in Butuan City, Philippines. Over the past five years, our bond has strengthened as we’ve dedicated ourselves to serving our community through various projects, fostering positive change and lasting connections along the way.
Our Programs

Education Empowerment Initiative: Moonwalkers 1989 Inc. believes in the transformative power of education. Through this MALTS (Moonwalkers 1989 Assistance for Learners and Teachers, becoming stakeholders during Brigada eskuwela.
we provide scholarships, mentorship, and educational resources to underprivileged students in Butuan City. We aim to break the cycle of poverty by empowering young minds with the tools they need to succeed.
- Community Health and Wellness: Ensuring the well-being of our community members is a top priority for Moonwalkers 1989 Inc. Through our cancer awareness program that goes with the acronym EMBRACE THEM health and Elderly wellness programs that goes with the acronym CHERISH , we provide access to medical services, health education workshops, and nutrition assistance to promote a healthier lifestyle for all residents of Butuan City.
- Livelihood and Economic Development: Empowering individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency is a key focus area for Moonwalkers 1989 Inc. We provide the initiative of hog raising to the indigenous group of Cabadbaran city .

I am Rowena one of the board and project directors of The MOONWALKERS 1989 inc. Here I will be sharing both our community services activities and my personal life journey .
Life has its ways to surprise you . She navigates me to a path that I did not expect to walk .
Reconnecting to people that I have never thought I would ever meet again. LIFE AND DESTINY have their ways of manuevering you to the path that you are destine to embark.

Traveling is one of the many passions that I have .
